Scum

Scum is a term used to refer to any member of an anti-town faction. The scum hide amongst the town and participate in lynch votes with the rest of the town. Every Night, the scum get to talk to each other and decide on a player to kill off. Normally, the scum faction wins when they outnumber the rest of the town. Usually, the scum begin the game with fewer numbers than the town faction, but they have more information and can talk amongst themselves on a separate private forum. Most of the time, the scum can only talk at Night, but there are exceptions to this rule. A group of more than one scum players who can collectively kill a player a night, are known to each other, and can talk amongst themselves are called a Mafia. A single scum player with a kill is called a Serial Killer. A group of scum that can recruit players to their side is called a Cult.
