A game of Mafia consists of at least two factions: an informed minority (the Scum) and and uninformed majority (the Town). Typically, the scum comprise around 25% of the players in the game. The town's goal is to eliminate the scum, and the scum's goal is to outnumber the town. This is accomplished through lynches and scum night kills. Most of the time, the game ends when either all of the scum have been killed (town win) or the scum outnumber the town (scum win).
